| BMC/SMC |
| BMC (Bulk Molding Compounds)/SMC
(Sheet Molding Compounds) are used in applications which require: |
- Dimensional Stability
- High Modulus
- Good Physical Properties
- High Heat Distortion Temperatures
- Good Impact Strength
- Good Surface Quality
- Excellent Dielectric Strength
- Low Water Absorption
- Good Corrosion Resistance
- Flame Retardant

| BMC/SMC Compounds can be formulated to maximize the
above qualities to meet part design parameters |
| The low cost of BMC/SMC materials makes them excellent
choices in applications including electrical insulators, bodies of
lights or head lamps, heat shields, stand-offs or spacers, appliance
exteriors where heat is a factor and under hood automotive applications. |
| BMC can be compression and injection molded. BMC
injection molding has emerged as a high speed precision method of
molding. |
| SMC/BMC can be compounded from epoxy,, vinylester
and polyester resin systems. Glass content can be varied from 10 to
70 percent by weight to meet you engineering requirements. |
