| Filament Winding |
| Filament winding is
the process of coating glass strands with resin and then winding
onto mandrels with various shapes and sizes. Common filament
wound parts include; tubes, tanks, springs, and elbows. |
| There are several advantages to using
filament wound parts. They include; |

- Excellent corrosive and dielectric
properties
- Tremendous hoop strength
- Capable of wide diameters and long
lengths
- Ability to wind in 5 axes
